“Before we can make deep changes in our lives, we have to look into our diet, our way of consuming. We have to live in such a way that we stop consuming the things that poison us and intoxicate us. Then, we will have the strength to allow the best in us to arise, and we will no longer be victims of anger or frustration.” -Thich Nhat Hanh
Your daily diet consists of more than just the food you eat. The shows/movies you watch, the music you listen to, the books you read — it all contributes to your wellbeing and mental health. Consider the type of media you’re consuming and ask yourself if it aligns with the slow, intentional life you want to be exuding.
Unfortunately, even relationships can be leading you away from the path that will take you to the life you’ve been working toward. It’s not always easy or comfortable, but make sure your consumption is filling your cup, not draining it.
