Mental freedom I think, is something we all strive for. Which is easier said than done. It’s not always easy to allow ourselves this kind of freedom but it’s definitely something we should all be working toward. Each emotion that passes through is valid and has its place. But what we do next with that emotion is what determines our freedom. Lately, I’ve been visualizing the release of my negative emotions.
Here’s the vision: I’m standing in one of my favorite spots — along a river and I picture the emotion in my hands. I acknowledge it, I accept it, and I toss it into the river and watch it get carried away. I allowed the emotion to come and most importantly to go.
