We can talk about mindfulness or write at length about it, but to truly understand mindfulness, we have to experience it directly.
Siegel et al., 2009, p. 17
We are now well into the year and I’m not sure about you…but I have lost all control of my resolutions to be more present and mindful. Although there are times here and there where I am actively trying to be more present, there are more times where I feel like my head is spinning. It’s okay to fall off track as long as we are committed to getting right back on. Growth is not a straight line forward. It often brings you up, down and all around. Revisiting old habits, creating new habits.
I have written at length about being mindful and how I try to incorporate mindfulness into my days. Many of you have reached out about posts that have meant something to you or helped you in some way and for that, I am eternally grateful. My biggest hope is that with these posts, my experience can help someone in some way.
I wanted to take it a step further and create and Mindful May calendar for my paid subscribers! This is the first time I am doing anything exclusively for my paid subscribers to thank them ever so much for supporting my journey and my work. As a stay at home mom of 3 young kids, 2 of them now being homeschooled, any show of support let’s me know that what I am doing is worth taking the time 🫶🏼
For Mindful May, paid subscribers will receive a May calendar via email with small daily mindful tips and exercises for the entire month of May. On top of that, paid subscribers will receive daily posts expanding on the daily tips and exercises along with helpful links to mediations and/or readings. The purpose of this is to create a habit that can allow us to add mindfulness to our days, even the busy ones. We need to intentionally set out to practice mindfulness until it becomes second nature. By the end of the month, you will be able to apply the practices that you found most helpful and effective for your lifestyle. Modifications can be made to each practice to make them relevant to you. These will simply act as a beginners guide to intentionally add mindful actions to your life.
If you’d like to join me in Mindful May, upgrade to paid for $5/month! Although this is my first time doing something exclusively for paid subscribers, there will definitely be more to come!
Regardless of your subscription status, I am so happy you’re here. Thank you for following along! Please feel free to share with family or friends so we can continue to grow this community.
